A stroke is recorded winner-first — whose stroke, who drew it, who is taking it, then goal, saved or missed, credited to the taker — and their strokes are counted the same way. Because corners and strokes are logged as flows rather than bare tallies, every goal in the match is then split into field goal, penalty corner and penalty stroke, each with its own attempts and conversion rate, for both teams. At a break you can see whether the set pieces or the field game is scoring, and a season of stroke attempts tells you who your flicker is.

Under the rules a yellow is a minimum of 5 minutes and the umpire sets the length when the card is shown, so 10 is common in senior grades. Kickd asks which one as you log the card, then counts it down on the game clock — pausing when the match pauses — holds the carded player’s position open while the team plays short, and puts them back on the bench when the time is served.
