The honest problem with live stats is that the person best placed to read the game is the person least able to tap a screen. Kickd gives the job its own role. A Performance Analyst runs the timer and logs the action — player time, rotations, scores and stats — while the coach watches the field and makes the calls.
A real role, not a shared login
Your analyst gets their own account and their own invite, joins your team as a Performance Analyst, and sees the live match screen built for logging. Nobody passes a phone around and nobody shares a password.
A pool, not one person
Volunteers miss weeks. A team can hold a pool of Performance Analysts with one active at a time, so when the regular cannot make it another steps in for that game and hands back afterwards.
They log on your plan
An analyst on a Team Stats team logs the complete stat set without buying anything themselves. You are paying for the team, so the person doing the logging for that team is covered.
Manage them from a browser
Invite by email, see who is in the pool, hand the active slot over, promote or remove — from the team page on kickd.au. Club admins can do it for any team in the club, and a coach can do it for their own.
Junior or senior, different jobs
On a junior team the analyst protects fair game time: they log who is on, who is off and for how long. On a senior team they are the match tracker, logging the action that gives the coach something to act on at the break.
No child of their own required
An analyst does not have to be a parent on the team — a grandparent, a partner, a club volunteer or a student can all do it, and Kickd never asks a childless analyst to nominate a child.

Who logs the stats while the coach is coaching?
A Performance Analyst. It is a separate role in Kickd with its own login and its own live match screen. They run the clock and log the action — player time, rotations, scores and stats — while the coach manages the field. On junior teams it is usually a parent on the sideline; on senior teams it is often a dedicated team member.
What is a Performance Analyst in Kickd?
The person who logs the match. On a junior team they track who is on the field and for how long, which is what makes the fair game-time record real. On a senior team they log the action live so the coach has something to act on at half time. The coach keeps every coaching decision, including Player of the Match.
Can a team have more than one Performance Analyst?
Yes. A team holds a pool of analysts with one active at a time. When your regular analyst cannot make a game, another member of the pool takes the active slot for that match and hands it back afterwards, so a missing volunteer never costs you the logging.
Does a Performance Analyst need their own subscription?
No. An analyst logging for a team on Team Stats gets the full stat set on that team’s plan, with nothing to buy themselves. The team is what is paid for, so the person logging for it is covered.
How do I add a Performance Analyst to my team?

They log the match; they do not run the team. Coaching decisions stay with the coach — the Player of the Match pick, the team settings and the roster. Two devices cannot log the same match at once either: one analyst holds the logging slot and another has to take it over deliberately.
