Eyes on the game,
not the screen.

Call the game, hands-free — at every age. On-device automatic speech recognition: pick your mic, call the play — say "try nine" — and Kickd logs every event live, US vs THEM. It comes with every plan, on your phone mic or a boom-mic headset. Juniors hear the shorter vocabulary their age records; seniors get the full advanced set. Fully offline, nothing leaves the phone — in every one of the 10 Kickd sports.

Voice logging · Included in every plan

Call the play. Kickd logs it.

Hands-free, eyes-on-the-game stat logging powered by on-device automatic speech recognition. Call the action on your phone mic or a boom-mic headset and Kickd records every event live — no signal needed, nothing leaves the phone. Voice comes with every plan.

Works fully offline

Recognition runs 100% on your device. No signal needed on a dead-reception sideline.

Private by design

Speech is recognised on the phone and never stored or sent. No player names leave the device.

Eyes on the game

Log the whole match without looking down — voice on top of tapping, never instead of it.

$49.99/seasonTeam Callout

Voice logging is included in every plan. Team Callout widens what it hears to the full stat set, per team, per season.

On a Team Pass you already call scores, cards, subs, rotations and undo. Team Callout adds every stat your sport records — tackles, circle entries, possession and the rest. Your first 3 matches run at the full level, free.

How it works
01

Pick your mic

Try it on your phone mic — tap the mic in the top bar to listen. For match day, pair any Bluetooth headset with a boom mic — the boom is what holds up in crowd noise, whatever the brand (we test with a Shokz OpenComm 2). The top-bar banner names the mic that is live — eyes stay on the field, not the screen.

02

Arm Record

Tap the mic in the top bar — red means live. The bar echoes what it heard and what it logged, so you can trust every call at a glance.

03

Call the play

Say a command from your sport's fixed vocabulary — the action, then the player's number as a word, like "try nine" or "interchange nine off four on" in rugby league. No menus, no looking down.

04

It logs instantly

Each command drops straight into the live match — scores, tackles, rotations and your sport's stats — exactly as if you'd tapped it. Voice sits on top of tapping: tap to correct or undo anytime.

05

Mute when you step away

Tap to mute for sideline chats or stoppages — nothing logs while muted, and it auto-mutes at every break.

What you can sayRugby League · numbers as words
“try nine”+4 to #9, ends the set
“hit up nine”Advances the tackle count
“tackle nine four”Tackles logged to #9 and #4
“kick nine”Set completed — kicked for territory
“interchange nine off four on”#9 off, #4 on
“them error four”Opposition set lost on the 4th tackle

Voice recognition, not a voice assistant — Callout maps spoken commands from your sport’s defined vocabulary to match events (the examples above are rugby league’s). It won’t hold a conversation or interpret loose phrasing, and tapping is always there as your baseline and correction layer.

Kickd Callout Voice Guide
Which mic?

Every plan talks. Your mic decides how well it hears.

Voice logging is included in every Kickd plan — there is nothing extra to buy. It works on the phone or tablet mic and on any Bluetooth headset. What holds up once the sideline gets loud is a boom mic close to your mouth — any Bluetooth headset with one. We test with a Shokz OpenComm 2, but the boom is what matters, not the brand. Our own test — the same 40 calls, quiet and then with a live broadcast playing two metres away:

MicQuietWith crowd noiseUse it for
Bluetooth headset with a boom mic40 / 4039 / 40Match day
Bluetooth earbuds, no boom39 / 4030 / 40Quiet grounds
Phone mic, held at chest height39 / 4027 / 40Quiet grounds
Tablet mic on a stand, seated in front34 / 4019 / 40Training

Backyard test, September 2026, Samsung S25+ and Lenovo tablet, NRL broadcast as the noise source. On the phone or tablet mic you tap the mic to listen and tap again to stop, so nobody standing near you logs a stat. Not in a pocket: 18 of 40.

Kickd Callout questions, answered

Kickd Callout is voice logging, included in every Kickd plan: on-device automatic speech recognition maps spoken commands from each sport's fixed vocabulary to live match events — fully offline, private, and available for all ten Kickd sports. Your plan sets how much of the vocabulary it hears.

How does Kickd Callout log stats by voice?

Pick your mic on the Home screen — the phone mic to try it, any Bluetooth headset with a boom mic for match day — arm the mic in the top bar, and say a command from your sport's fixed vocabulary — like "try nine" or "interchange nine off four on" in rugby league. Each command drops into the live match instantly, exactly as if you'd tapped it, and tapping stays available to correct or undo.

Does Kickd Callout work without internet?

Yes. The automatic speech recognition runs 100% on your device, so Callout works fully offline on a dead-reception sideline. Speech is never stored or sent, and no player names leave the phone.

Is Kickd Callout a voice assistant?

No — it's voice recognition, not a voice assistant. Callout maps spoken commands from your sport's defined vocabulary to match events; it won't hold a conversation or interpret loose phrasing. Voice sits on top of tapping, never instead of it.

Which sports does Kickd Callout support?

All ten Kickd sports — rugby league, soccer, AFL, hockey, netball, rugby union, Oztag, touch football, basketball and water polo — each with its own fixed command vocabulary. It works at every age group: junior teams hear the shorter vocabulary their age actually records, and senior grades get the full advanced set — down to a hockey penalty corner or stroke, or a water polo 5m penalty, logged in one breath.

How much does Kickd Callout cost?

Nothing extra — voice logging is included in every Kickd plan, and there is no voice add-on to buy. What changes with your plan is the vocabulary. On a Team Pass you call the essentials: scores, cards, subs, rotations and undo. Team Callout ($49.99 per team, per season, bought in the app) and every club plan add the full stat set your sport records. Your first 3 matches run at the full level free, and a coach on a Team Pass can try Team Callout free for 14 days.

Does Kickd Callout work on the phone mic, or do I need a headset?

Both. On the phone or tablet mic you tap the mic to listen and tap again to stop, so nobody nearby logs a stat by accident — the way to try Callout and fine for training. For match day any Bluetooth headset with a boom mic is the setup — the boom matters, not the brand: in our own test under crowd noise a boom mic caught 39 of 40 calls, earbuds without a boom 30, and the phone mic 27. In the quiet all three caught 39 or 40.
