3Ptag game day: five-tag sets, tries worth 1, 2 or 3, and a fair run for all seven.

3Ptag is a non-contact, modified rugby league game run by 3P Performance and played in tournaments such as the Junior All Nations and the Senior All Nations. Seven a side, sets of five tags, drop-kick restarts and bombs are in, and a try is worth 1, 2 or 3 points depending on when in the set and where on the field it is scored. Kickd is an independent app and isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by 3P Performance.

A try scored on the zero or first tag of a set is an early try and worth 2 points; from the second tag on it is worth 1. Scored inside the bonus zone it is worth one more, so an early bonus try is 3. Kickd logs each of the four at its value with the scorer on it, and the season table splits tries, early tries and bonus tries as well as points.

Two 14-minute halves with a 2-minute break under the 2026 rule book; State of Origin fixtures play two 19-minute halves. Kickd starts a 3Ptag team on 14-minute halves and the HALF TIME setting takes any length from 10 to 20 minutes, so the clock matches the draw.

Seven on the field and 12 players in a team under the 2026 rule book, and tournaments let teams register up to 16. Substitutions are unlimited and rolling. Kickd’s live field is 7-a-side with wings, links and middles, and the TEAM SIZE setting takes 5 or 6 if your comp plays smaller.

Every set is five tags. Kickd marks each of your sets complete or not, and records what ended it: a try, a kick, a handover on the last tag, an error, a penalty, or a 25/10 that earns the ball back. Both teams’ completion % sits above the field during play, and at half time you get the set-by-set breakdown, the same card rugby league teams use in Kickd, counted in fives.

You can run the clock, the subs and the minutes on Oztag today, because the field and the rolling subs are the same shape. The scoring is not: oztag tries are one point and there is no set log, so your scoreline and your set stats would be wrong. That is why 3Ptag is its own sport in Kickd rather than an oztag option.
