It's a fun, modified, non-contact version of the game that any child with basic swimming ability can play — 7 in the water, played in halves rather than quarters.

Swimming fatigue makes rotations the whole game, so Kickd runs the bench live: unlimited substitutions in two taps on the pool view, rotation alerts when a change is due, and running minutes for all 7 in the water — goalkeeper included.

Yes — rotation pools, from U12 up. Tag each player Centre Forward, Wing, Driver or Point and Kickd pairs each substitution within that role, so your hole set is replaced by a centre forward rather than by whoever is next on the bench. Water polo gets four roles instead of the usual three because the centre forward and the point who defends them are specialist jobs, while wings and drivers are the interchangeable perimeter pair. The goalkeeper is excluded from the pairing, and FlippaBall ages rotate without positions. It is a preference, never a block: a short bench still rotates, with the mismatch flagged.

Yes — every player's time in the water counts up live on the pool view as the clock runs, bench included, and every match stores a fairness record. Fair pool time becomes a number you can show, not a poolside guess.

Yes — Kickd Callout, included in every plan at every age group, logs the game completely hands-free on your phone mic or a Bluetooth headset (a boom mic like the Shokz OpenComm 2 for match day): say "goal seven", "drew four" or "save three" and the match updates without touching the screen — the 5m flow included, down to "penalty four, goal seven" in one breath. Recognition runs on-device and works fully offline.

Goals with the scorer attributed at every age. From U14 up: assists, shots on and off target for both teams, GK saves, field blocks, steals, turnovers, exclusions drawn and conceded, and 5m penalties with who won each one and whether it converted — the official AU scorecard columns and then some — with Player of the Match voting after the final whistle.

Extra-player conversion is THE water polo number, and in Kickd it needs zero extra logging. When you log an exclusion drawn, a 20-second player-up window opens automatically — a live countdown sits on the pool view — and any goal inside it counts as a converted opportunity. Exclusions conceded work the same way in reverse, giving you a penalty-kill percentage. The windows follow the real rules: a goal, a steal or a turnover ends one early, exactly as the excluded player re-enters. Every break shows the card — player-up conversion, man-down kill and 5m penalties, with a shots comparison for both teams.

One tap opens the penalty flow: who won it, us or them. Yours asks who drew it and whether the throw scored — any player can take it, so the scorer is named separately — and the goal counts toward your 5m conversion rate. Theirs records the penalty against you and their goal if it scores. By voice it is one breath: "penalty four, goal seven".

Yes, if the coach wants them. The full set is on by default from U14, and U12 teams — where the full umbrella game and rep pathways begin — can switch on EXTENDED STATS on the Season screen. FlippaBall ages stay simple by design: fair rotations and one-tap goals.
