What statistics can coaches track with Kickd?
Each sport has its native stat set — for example rugby league tracks hit-ups, tackles, line breaks, errors and set completion; AFL tracks Inside 50s, scoring rate per entry, centre clearances, marks, kicks and handballs; netball tracks shooting percentage, centre-pass conversion, intercepts and rebounds; soccer tracks shots, assists, saves, fouls and cards.
How do coaches record statistics during a live match?
By tapping the stat and then the player on the live field or court view — or completely hands-free by voice with Kickd Callout, which is included in every Kickd plan, on the phone mic or a Bluetooth headset — coaches have even run it on Meta Ray-Ban smart glasses. Accuracy on a noisy sideline depends on the mic: in our own test a boom mic caught 39 of 40 calls under crowd noise and the phone mic 27, so the Shokz OpenComm 2 boom mic is the proven pick for match day.
How are season statistics tracked?
Every match’s minutes, scores, stats and awards roll up automatically into per-player and team season totals, with full match-by-match history kept all season.
What are Inside 50s in AFL, and what is a good scoring rate?
An Inside 50 is the ball being moved into a team’s forward 50-metre arc. Scores per Inside 50 — how many entries actually produce a goal or a behind — is the efficiency number AFL coaches quote at every level, because it separates winning territory from actually using it. Kickd logs an entry with one tap for either team and works out the rate per quarter, alongside where each entry began: centre bounce, kick-in, turnover or general play.
What is set completion in rugby league?
Set completion is the percentage of possession sets a team finishes without an error or turnover. Kickd tracks it live — including the split between yardage sets and good-ball sets — and across the season.
Can I export or share a match report?
Yes. Open any finished match and share it as a PDF — the score, the scorers, the full stat table and every player’s minutes — straight from your phone. Coaches send it to the club, a selection committee or the team chat without anyone needing a Kickd login to read it.
Do parents see player statistics?
For senior teams, yes — supporters see scorers and match statistics. For junior teams, parents see team results only; individual junior statistics are visible to the coach alone.
