NETBALL

All 7 positions live — quarter rotations made simple.

Netball is position-based, and quarter-by-quarter rotations are the part every coach dreads. Kickd shows all 7 positions on a live court, so swapping a GS to GA between quarters is a tap, not a tangle — and logs the game around it, from shooting percentages to centre pass conversion.

Netball questions, answered

Kickd is an Australian game-day app built for netball: all 7 positions on a live court, a quarter-by-quarter rotation planner, automatic fair court time surfaced live, live shooting volume and percentage per shooter, centre pass conversion tracked from a single question at the first whistle, intercepts, deflections, rebounds, circle feeds and pickups from U13 up, a quarter-break summary card, a match clock that keeps running while the app is backgrounded, and Player of the Match voting — with a fairness record on every match.

How does Kickd manage netball quarter rotations?

Kickd shows all 7 positions on a live court with a quarter-by-quarter rotation planner, so moving a GS to GA between quarters is a tap — the whole rotation plan stays visible at once.

Does the match timer keep running if I leave the app?

Yes. The match clock is anchored to real time, so backgrounding the app, locking the phone or stepping away for photos never stops it — the time is right when you come back, and a live match timer sits on your lock screen on both iPhone and Android.

Can Kickd handle a netball carnival day with several games?

Yes — carnival mode is built in. Plan every game's quarter-by-quarter positions before the first whistle: game one loads as your next match, the rest queue behind it, and after each final whistle one tap loads the next game's plan, opponent included. It all works fully offline, so a carnival venue with no reception runs the same as a home round.

Does Kickd track fair game time for junior netball?

Yes. Equal game-time across the team is tracked automatically and surfaced live, so the coach knows who is owed court time before each quarter starts.

What netball stats does Kickd record?

At every age: goals and missed shots attributed to the shooter, with each shooter's live shooting percentage shown on the court as the game runs, plus centre pass received, turnovers conceded and minutes per player across the quarters. From U13 up: circle feeds, intercepts, deflections, offensive and defensive rebounds, pickups and penalties conceded. Centre pass conversion is tracked from a single question at the first whistle, and every quarter break shows a summary card with the shooting table and the stats logged in that quarter.

How does Kickd track centre pass conversion in netball?

Kickd asks one question at the first whistle — who takes the opening centre pass — and works out the rest from the score. Because the centre pass alternates with every goal, the app knows whose pass is next all game without being told again, and shows how many of your own centre passes you converted into a goal. The chip on the court can be corrected mid-game if the first answer was wrong.

Does Kickd work on a phone or a tablet at netball?

Both. Kickd runs on the phone or tablet you already own, works offline courtside, and needs no extra hardware.

Can I log netball by voice?

Yes — Kickd Callout, included in every plan at every age group, logs the game completely hands-free on your phone mic or a Bluetooth headset (a boom mic like the Shokz OpenComm 2 for match day). Netball has no shirt numbers, so commands name the bib: "goal shooter" logs the GS goal, "miss goal attack" the GA miss. Recognition runs on-device and works fully offline.
